About Dr. Tom Tureaud, Kraken’s Vice President – Underwater Systems
Tom comes with a wealth of underwater systems industry experience, having spent over twenty years at Vehicle Control Technologies Inc. in Reston, Virginia.  Tom managed their underwater platform group as Chief Engineer, overseeing mechanical, hydrodynamic and electrical design. He has been involved in the design of over 30 advanced underwater systems. These include: a patented towed docking system, a buoyant towed vehicle for specialized operations, an underwater search vehicle for unexploded ordnance, a towed sonar mine countermeasure detection system, an automated launch and recovery system and several Unmanned Underwater Vehicles. He has extensive industry publications and holds twelve patents. Prior to Vehicle Control Technologies, Tom served with Draper Laboratory and Allied Signal Corporation in a variety of design engineering positions. Tom holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame.
About Gina Millar, Kraken’s Senior Project Manager – Underwater Systems
Gina has over 10 years of system engineering experience with underwater vehicles including Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs), Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROVs) and Underwater Rescue Systems. Gina joins Kraken from International Submarine Engineering Ltd (ISE) in Port Coquitlam, BC.  While at ISE, Gina was lead engineer on several underwater vehicles including deep-water survey AUVs, Arctic survey AUVs and working class hydraulic-electric ROVs. Gina holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Systems Engineering from Simon Fraser University and is a registered Professional Engineer.
